Tactical Rescue Technician course

The Tactical Rescue Technician course focuses on rescue operations in the tactical setting. The course is not a normal civilian technical rescue course, it does not focus on the civilian rescue settings nor standards. The tactical rescue technician course focuses on technical rescue in a hostile and high-risk environments. The course is for medics working in a high threat environment, who may have to rescue team members and mission staff from difficult terrain and damaged vehicles due to IED’s and other potential hostile mechanisms.
 
The 14 days tactical rescue technician course, starts with rope rescue technique, followed by confined space rescue, vehicle extrication, where the focus is on extricating casualties from vehicles, with the aid of tools such as electrical heavy cutters etc. Followed by medical mission planning, prolonged field care training.

 The course culminates with 4 days of case exercises, including a night exercise where all the skills that the students have learned will be tested. All the cases will include hyper-realistic casualty simulation with both live role-players and advanced manikins.
